| Corona Virus A fair number of events are now taking place, so the weekly emails have resumed However, there are a lot of late cancellations occurring, so it is always worth checking with the venue before travelling. The situation with clubs and sessions is less clear. Many have yet to restart, some are happening, but do not want extra publicity as they are trying to keep the numbers attending lower than normal, and others are looking for new venues. The Somerset and Dorset Folk Diary (or SaDFolk) is based around a weekly email service, listing ‘folk’ events in Somerset and Dorset. The term ‘event’ covers concerts, barn dances, sessions, workshops and any other folk related activity. In many ways the email is the easiest way to get the information ( subscribe here) , but all the information can also be found on this website.
